I read recently that being a adult means your confidence in the “manual of life” written by anyone but yourself becomes uncomfortable. So now, you become the author and follower of the manual. You write a draft and then follow it out in the real world. You collect data – Whats working? Whats failing? – and then rewrite the draft. You are the author, follower and reviewer of this manual. You are telling you what do to, always. No wonder adulthood can feel so lonely.
Impertinent: rudely irrelevant, unwelcome or unrestricted. For example, the publicist asked many impertinent questions. In the same scenario, the publicist was being impertinent, asking so many questions about my private life.
